Rudisha Eyes Comeback after successful Surgery

Two-time Olympic champion and 800m World record holder, David Rudisha made an announcement through his social media platform that stirred a lot of encouragement and hope from fellow Athletes and Kenyans. Rudisha who has been out since July 2017 following a back injury stated that he was walking with an ankle implant for more than a year and after successful removal, he is ready to make the much-desired comeback to the sport. 

“Am glad that on Saturday 20th I had a successful surgery of removal of an implant on my left leg that has been there for the last one and a half year. At least I will be back soon doing some running!!!”  Said Rudisha in an Instagram post.

Eyes on Kamwaror and Cherono as Valencia marathon countdown begins

All eyes will be on Geoffrey Kamwaror and Lawrence Cherono as they set to end the year on a high. Kamwaror who is a holder of three half marathon titles and two world cross country titles seeks to improve his personal best as he makes a comeback after missing out in the Tokyo Olympics after an Injury.

Lawrence Cherono who came fourth in the Olympics is one to watch. Cherono who won the 2019 Boston and Chicago’s marathon has a Personal Best time of 2:03:04 which makes him the fastest in the field.

Ugandan Jacob Kiplimo sets half-marathon world record in Lisbon

Jacob Kiplimo won Sunday's race by over two minutes and took one second off the previous world best established by Kenya's Biwott Kandie in Valencia last year breaking the half-marathon world record with a time of 57:31 seconds in Lisbon, Portugal.
