Heroine Agnes Tirop Laid To Rest

The Ever smiling Agnes was Laid to Rest this past week. Two-time world championships bronze medalist Agnes Tirop was found stabbed to death in her home in Iten. In an Emotional Sendoff that compatriots from all walks of life celebrate her accomplishments and honor.

Eliud Kipchoge named Best Male Athlete of Tokyo 2020

Marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge on Sunday won the Best Male Athlete accolade during the 2021 Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) Awards held in Greece. Kipchoge set a record, becoming the third athlete to win gold back-to-back in the Olympic marathon after Abebe Nikila of Ethiopia and Waldemar Sierpinski of Germany. "It is an honor to win the ANOC Award for the Best Male Athlete at the Tokyo Olympics. With so many beautiful performances by so many athletes, I am proud to be the recipient of this award. Thank you all for your great support!” Said Eliud on a Twitter post. Congratulations King for always flying the Kenyan flag High!

Elisha Rotich smashes Bekele’s record to win the Paris marathon

Elisha Rotich smashed the previous course record held by Ethiopia’s Kenenisa Bekele at the Paris marathon by 43 seconds to win the race in 2.04.21. Ethiopian Hailelmaryam Kiros finished second in 2.04.42 while Kenyan Hillary Kipsambu came third in 2.04.45.

Three wins in a row for Eilish McColgan 

Eilish McColgan ended her season in style after breaking Paula Radcliffe's record winning the Great South Run event this Sunday for the third time. McColgan stormed to victory in 50.43 taking nearly a minute off her PB time of 51.38. All eyes will be on the Scottish runner’s marathon debut as she attempts to get close to yet another Radcliffe’s record.
